FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for provision of constant linear contact of sealing device of support of roll with surface of part. Sealing device includes body, sponge and cross-piece joining them. Sponge has gradual thickening of edge part towards working edge on side of sealed surface. If this sealing device is used as end face one its geometric parameters meet relation f/l ≅ 0,7+Δ/l,, where f is distance between position of edge of sealing ring in free state and sealed surface, l is length of sponge, Δ is value of thickening of sponge.
