FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises bearing cover with seat for sealing collar that includes casing, radial and face jaws with working edges interacting with mating surfaces of rolling mill. Reliable contact between jaws wedges and roller radial and face surfaces, in change of roller friction surfaces position relative to collar jaws, results from that collar jaws are jointed to casing and can vary their position with respect to roller surface. Note here that angle formed by jaw with roller face surface makes 25-45°, that formed by jaw with roller radial surface makes 30-35°, while ratio between the lengths of radial and face jaws makes 1.1 -1.2.
EFFECT: longer life and efficiency due to maintenance of sealing properties during change of relative position of roller friction surfaces.
