FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method of check of qualitative and quantitative parameters of iron ore material in body of motor vehicle is realized with the help of probe with two induction sounds of different length used to determine apparent magnetic susceptibility of material. Apart from this same device is used to measure minimal distance from this device to surface of iron ore material contained in body. By calculation there are found volume V of material contained in body in agreement with formula V = Vo+π/16•B2, where Vo is certified volume of body of motor vehicle, B is width of body; D is length of body; Φ is angle of natural slope of iron ore material; hmin is minimal distance from probe to surface of iron ore material in body; ho is minimal distance from probe to surface of material with maximum loading of body.
