JET PERFORATOR AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

Abstract RU 2066739 C1

FIELD: jet perforators applicable in opening of producing formations in dried wells. SUBSTANCE: jet perforator includes thin-walled tubular case with two end plugs. Tubular case accommodate jet charges in thick-walled closed axisymmetric shells which have thin-walled sections. Connected to jet charges is detonating cord. Cylindrical support is arranged inside the tubular case and made of porous material with dynamic rigidity which is multiply less than that of material of axisymmetric shells and compression strength not less than hydrodynamic pressure in well. Besides, internal cylindrical support is made of quartz sand. Thinned section of axisymmetric shell is made in form of membrane. The method for manufacture of jet perforator includes placing of jet charges with detonating cord into case with lower end plug, and internal support is formed. For this purpose, porous material (sand) is poured into the case held in vertical position and compacted by vibration. Then, upper end plug is installed. EFFECT: reduced metal content and cut down manufacture costs. 5 cl, 3 dwg
