FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: device for protecting stope critical zone from rolling down lumps of rock includes protective screen secured to support floor by flexible members so as to be moved and revolved. The screen has rotary traverse with through opening for individual placing flexible and elastic lengthwise members with weights on ends related to movable traverse. The latter is related to the drive of moving the protective screen through the system of deflecting blocks. Rotary traverse is placed at an angle to the face in horizontal plane so as to be turned over to take the position parallel to the face when flexible lengthwise members are lifted. Other ends of the flexible elastic lengthwise members may be secured from the movable traverse or flexible elastic members may be passed through apertures in the movable traverse and secured by other ends from rotary traverse.
