FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: mower has cutterbar with crank drive. Connecting rod couples tractor power shaft with cutter through crank. Connecting rod is made hyperbolic in vertical plane, with body elastically deformed in vertical plane. Rear tie-rod of hitching mechanism is made double-armed, with smaller arm pivotally connected to hydraulic cylinder of tractor hydraulic drive. Hydraulic cylinder has one-way supply pipeline extending from four-position distributor. When in neutral position, inlet and outlet pipes of distributor are communicated with tractor hydraulic system and pressure pipe is communicated with one-way supply pipeline leading to hydraulic cylinder. In case of excessive loading of cutterbar, reciprocating motion of cutter is interrupted due to elastic deformation of connecting rod body.
