FIELD: sharpening appliance can be used for sharpening of pencil leads, draw-in inclusive, for sharpening and conditioning of erasers, for sharpening of pencil wooden cover. SUBSTANCE: sharpening appliance uses a housing, having a reservoir for shavings, a cover coupled to it and having an opening in the form of a duct. The duct is formed by the cover inclined walls, parts with abrasive material are installed on the cover longitudinal walls. One of the cover walls has a shoulder on the external longitudinal edge, and the housing is provided with an additional duct in the form of an inverted cone with a truncated vertex and longitudinal slot, in which a knife is installed.
