METHOD OF PALLETLESS PACKING OF ARTICLES Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: method involves piling articles with use of polymer film sheet and forming cutouts for fork of grip on upper edge of pile, putting film on pile in two steps, forming films in pile cutouts, thermal shrinkage by delivering heat and turning over the pile. Piling is done by placing articles on sheet of polymer film, and cutouts are made by putting at least two cover plates on pile, length of plate not to exceed width of pile. At first of film placing used is sheet whose length exceeds length of lower sheet by not less than double height of pile and double depths of cutout, and width exceeds width of pile, sheet being placed longitudinally. During second step used is film sheet whose length exceeds width of lower sheet by at least double height of pile, with sheet being placed in cross direction. Then transversely arranged sheet of film is pressed to side face of pile and is its ends are welded with lower sheet, after which ends of longitudinally placed film sheet are tap-welded with lower sheet. Heat for thermal shrinkage is delivered into pile cutouts, to upper face of pile lengthwise from upper front rib, to side face in direction from points of intersection of upper front and side ribs to points of intersection of rear and side ribs of pile, and onto end face of pile in direction from upper to lower ribs.
