FIELD: wood-pulp and paper industry; production of cellulose. SUBSTANCE: black liquor is evaporated and burnt in the presence of reducer in form of sulfur of sodium-containing material in heated reactor. In so doing, melt is transferred into solution. Reducer is used at sodium-to-sulfur molar ratio of 1.5 to 4.0 from the amount of taken reducer. Reactor is heated due to the energy of the external source and/or energy of black liquor. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
