FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing solution of sodium compounds produced together with gas containing carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen in the process of partial combustion of cellulose lyes, in which gas containing sodium compounds interacts with at least one liquid solvent. Interaction takes place in apparatus containing vessel with liquid solvent and vertical descending tube with its upper part connected to gas generator and lower part disposed below liquid solvent level. Gas and sodium compounds move downward through descending tube into which liquid solvent is fed and then pass between descending tube and ascending one whose upper end is located above solvent level and lower end below this level. Ascending tube fully or partly surrounds descending tube. Gas and sodium compounds and liquid solvent coming with gas chemically interact, sodium compounds being separated and dissolved in solvent which is withdrawn to prepare digestion solution. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 10 cl, 1 dwg
