FIELD: wood-pulp and paper industry; applicable in manufacture of special clothes designed for protection from harmful production factors, particular, from vapors of chlorine, ammonia, sulfuric acid. SUBSTANCE: the offered sorbing material is prepared from sulfate nonbleached cellulose and activated carbon, carbon-cellulose mixture is treated with melamineformaldehyde resin or polyamide resin modified by epichlorohydrin (WODAMIN-115). For sedimentation of binding agent from fiber, aluminium sulfate is introduced. The material components are taken in the following amounts, mas.%: binding agent 0.5-5.0; aluminium sulfate 0.5-5.0 Filter-sorbing material features high sorption properties due to introduction into composition up to 40% of activated carbon; and nonbleached sulfate cellulose, in combination with binding agent, confers to the material, elasticity and wet strength. EFFECT: lower cost of material for manufacture of clothes with high sorption properties. 1 tbl
