SUBSTANCE: device has nonregulated power supply and regulated power supply with regulating switch, inputs of both supplies being connected to ac power leads; it also has decoupling diode, trickle-charge unit, starting unit, current sensor, first and second threshold units, time relay, DC feedback amplifier, DC amplifier simulating feedback signal, pulse-width modulator with sawtooth-voltage generator synchronized with supply voltage, light intensity regulator. EFFECT: improved reliability of gaseous-discharge lamp starting, improved service life of lamp and electric safety of lighting device, and its reduced size and mass. 1 dwg
