METHOD FOR TREATING THE CASES OF TOBACCO-SMOKING Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing needles into auricular AT-1, AT-2, AT-3, AT-4, AT-5, AT-6, AT-29 points and into corporal GI-4 point from homolateral side, the auricular AT-0, AT-55, AT-101 points are penetrated symmetrically and bilaterally for 40-120 min 12-24 h later after the last smoking action. Then microneedle is introduced into auricular AT-31 point from the homolateral side for 7-10 days, whereas acupuncture needles are applied daily during 7- 10 days. Smoking habit duration being longer than 20 years, at least one of the AT-1, AT-2, AT-3, AT-4, AT-5, AT-6, AT-29 AT-31 and GI-4 points acupuncture needles are introduced in symmetrical way.
