FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and reflexotherapy. To suppress the pharyngeal reflex when inspecting the larynx, sequential exposure to acupuncture needles on the corporeal biologically active points: symmetrical points of spleen SP4 Gongsun (+), pericardium meridian HC6 Neiguan (-), cardiac meridian Ht7 Shenmen (+); points of posteromedian meridian GV14 Dazhui (+), GV20 Baihui (+), GV21 Qianding (+), GV26 Shuigo (+); points of anteromedian meridian CV24 Chengjiang (-), CV23 Lianquan (-), CV22 Tiantu (-); symmetrical points of spleen meridian SP6 Sanyinjiao (-), colon meridian LI 20 Yingxiang (-), LI 4 He Gu (-), where "+" is the stimulation action method, "-" is the braking effect method. Then, the auricular points AT-55, AT-73, AT-74, AT-75, AT-37, AT-28, AT-34 are exposed on the right or left ear for right-handed or left-handed individuals, respectively. Needles are inserted 30–40 minutes before the laryngeal inspection, and are removed immediately before the examination of the larynx or left for the duration of the inspection.
EFFECT: method improves quality of examination due to prolonged reduction of pharyngeal reflex, enables to inspect larynx, including without using local anesthetics.
