SUBSTANCE: method for evaluation of active volume of oil-saturated pores of producing formations includes measurement of gamma activity hum and injection of drilling mud saturated with indicator and forced into formation; measurement of gamma activity, and repeated injection of drilling mud saturated with indicator; determination of effective thickness and dynamic porosity of formations; correction of value of dynamic porosity by effect of redistribution of indicator between solid and liquid phases of drilling mud, between movable and immovable parts of fluid in pore spaces of formation and by the depth of penetration of indicator into formation. Value of volume of oil-saturated pores is determined as the sum of product of corrected dynamic porosity and effective thickness of each volume object. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
