FIELD: mechanical engineering; exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: temperature of exhaust gases in converter is used as working parameter. Fuel delivery is changed when measured value of working parameter exceeds standard value by delivering enriched fuel air/mixture into cylinders. Speeds of rise of standard and measured values of exhaust gas temperature are additionally compared and fuel delivery is regulated if speed of rise of measured exhaust gas temperature exceeds standard value.
