FIELD: thermoelectric plants with power-generating and hot water boilers, for example, thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: to enhance economical efficiency of power-generating boiler 1 and to improve quality of burning of fuel in furnace 8 of hot-water boiler 3, cold air is fed to surface steam cooler 5 of power-generating boiler for cooling the superheated steam which flows to furnace 8 of hot-water boiler 3 for burning. Surface steam cooler 5 of power-generating boiler 1 is located in air line 4 of hot-water boiler 3 between fan 6 and burners 7. Cooling medium line of surface steam cooler 5 is connected between inlet and outlet stages of steam superheater 2 by means of steam pipe lines 9 and 11. Temperature control of superheated steam in outlet header of steam superheater is effected by amount of air flowing through steam cooler. Change of amount of air flowing through steam cooler is effected by means of control gate valve 14 fitted in bypass pipe line 13 past steam cooler.
