FIELD: optical spectral instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: illuminator is made of objective optically connected with spherical mirror, and irradiator mounted between these two units. Optical axis of spherical mirror is mounted along the tangent line to the irradiator; point of contact is brought into coincidence with center of curvature of spherical mirror. Optical axis of the objective goes through center of spherical mirror and center of illuminator image formed by the mirror. Illuminator-based spectral device has the illuminator, entrance diaphragm, at least one additional objective, unit for spectral conversion of radiation, exit diaphragm and spectrophotometer. Moreover, optical axis of additional objective passes through center of objective of illuminator and point of coincidence with center of curvature of its spherical mirror.
