FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: fuel composition intended for use in automobile internal combustion engines has, as a basic component, mixture of catalytic reforming gasoline, isopentane, and straight-run gasoline NK-62 C, and, as an additive, product of etherification of methanol with butylenes containing 50-85% of methyl-tert-butyl ether and 15-50% of tert-butyl alcohol, whereas percentage of components in the composition is as follows (in wt %): gasoline NK-62 C 2-10, isopentane 2-10, additive 3-15, and reforming gasoline to the balance. additionally, composition may contain 1-10% toluene.
