FIELD: nuclear power engineering; burying radioactive wastes in underground rock workings and boreholes. SUBSTANCE: according to first version, container holding radioactive wastes is placed in monolithic crystalline rock mass and space between rock and container is filled with buffer filler of bentonite and red mud layers, their volume proportion being 1:1. Red mud is composed of 30-50 mass percent of ferric hydroxides and 50-70 mass percent of cord sodium hydroalumosilicates of zeolite-like structure. According to second version, space between container and rock is filled with mixture of bentonite and red mud in volume proportion of 1:1. This version is used for burying radioactive wastes in boreholes. EFFECT: improved reliability of burying solid radioactive wastes and improved environmental situation. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
