FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of nondestructive control of rocks, namely, to methods for establishment of detail characteristic of a structure of crack-pore space of crystalline rocks, detection of hidden irregularities, fluid permeability. The method to determine irregularities of elastic and filtration properties of rocks consists in the fact that cylindrical core samples bored from rock massif with different length are examined with ultrasonic longitudinal P-waves by a regular grid in multiple directions, both angular and along the axis of the core sample. Then they determine speeds of elastic longitudinal waves in dried samples and in samples saturated by liquid. They produce a massif of data of speeds of elastic longitudinal waves for both states, which is processed to get data on 2D distribution of speeds and their deviations from the medium value for dried samples and saturated with liquid, represented in the form of a colour or monochrome topographic map with isolines with filling between them or without them with coordinates a dihedral angle of observation - height of sensor observation. Further they compare produced results of speed measurements in dried samples and samples saturated with liquid. Then they compare the results of measurements of speeds of elastic waves for samples saturated with liquid, and for samples in both states, further they make a conclusion on irregularities of elastic and filtration properties of rocks, on extent of saturation of rock with liquid, and they decide on damages in the natural bedding of rock massif.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified forecasting of irregularities of rock massif, invisible cracks, internal contacts of rocks.
