FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has boom 1 and head 2 pivotally secured on end of boom 1 for rotation in longitudinal vertical plane from hydraulic cylinder 3 and having casing 4, grab 9 with vertical pole 10 and two pairs of rotary gripping levers 11, mechanism for rotating grab 9 about vertical shaft having double- action hydraulic cylinder 8 with double-piston stem provided with toothed rack meshed with gear, which is rigidly fixed on vertical shaft. Each pair of gripping levers 11 is fixed on separate frame 12. Frame 12 of upper pair of gripping levers 11 is rigidly fixed on vertical pole 10 and frame 12 of lower pair of gripping levers 11 is fixed on base 16 of cutting mechanism 17. Base 16 is pivotally connected with vertical pole 10 for rotation in longitudinal vertical plane by hydraulic cylinder 21.
