FIELD: forestry, in particular, continuous or controlled cutting, with regrowth being kept. SUBSTANCE: logging machine has wheeled self-propelled chassis and hydraulic manipulator mounted on chassis. Hydraulic manipulator is equipped with gripping and cutting device. Hydraulic manipulator handle has kinematically connected telescopic sections. Gripping and cutting device has column 7 with grips 8,9 and sawing apparatus 10. Column 7 is provided with brackets 17 positioned at its lower rear end side. Brackets 17 are connected with end part of outer section 13 of handle by hinge pivots 18 whose axes of rotation are offset relative to handle longitudinal axis to rear surface of handle. Earth engaging support 15 is connected to end part of section 13 through hinge pivot 14. Hinges of pivots 18 are positioned rearward and above axis of rotation of hinge pivot 14. Surfaces of brackets 17 faced to hinge of pivot 14 have curved portions 20 providing kinematic engagement of gripping and cutting device with support 15, when the latter comes into contact with earth. Auxiliary grip contoured as cutter is mounted on immovable section of telescopic connection. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved ecology control, wider range of timber produced by means of logging machine and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
