SUBSTANCE: the device for recording the nystagmus parameters has a corneoretinal potential sensor, audible signalling unit, calibrator, indicator, regulated biopotential amplifier, nystagmus simulator, control unit, recorder, summator, synchronizer, amplitude discriminator, nystagmic reaction analyzer, display unit, timer, analog-to-digital converter, computer, internal storage, code converter and a decoder unit. In the process of examination of the patient the device makes it possible to measure with a high accuracy, store and read out to the digital indicator the information on duration of nystagmic reaction, time of the latent period, slow phase time, nystagmus summary amplitude, quantity of nystagmic cycles, nystagmus mean amplitude and nystagmus mean angular velocity in slow phase, as well as to accomplish calibration, monitoring and signalling.
