FIELD: heat-power engineering; reheating steam turbine plants, as well as turbines without reheating for modification of such turbine through introducing additional reheat. SUBSTANCE: steam turbine plant has boiler 1, turbine which consists of high-pressure cylinder 2, intermediate-pressure cylinder 3 and low-pressure cylinder 4, reheater 5 which is brought in communication with turbine by means of steam lines 6 and 7, bypass line 8 of reheater 5 fitted with valve 9, electric generator 10, steam condenser 11, water pumps 12, feed water regenerative heating system 13 brought in communication with boiler 1 by means of pipe 14, mixing apparatus 15 fitted on steam line 7 between turbine cylinder 4 and bypass line 8, as well as valve 16 fitted in steam line 6 between bypass line 8 and reheater 5; at nominal mode and at other steady modes, cold steam escaping from cylinder 2 or 3 is divided into two flows which are distributed by means of valves 9 and 16; one flow in amount of 90 to 50 percent of amount of steam escaping from turbine is directed to bypass line 8 and other flow in amount of 10 to 50 percent is directed to reheater 5 where steam is heated to temperature of from 650 to 850 C at maximum pressure of 0.1 to 1 MPa; at turbine inlet, flows of superheated and bypassed steam are combined in one flow and are mixed in mixing apparatus 15.
