FIELD: machine milking in cow stalls. SUBSTANCE: milking unit has milking module 3 with casing 4 mounted for movement on monorail 6. Bars 9 are fixed to casing 4 through pivot joints and levers 11. Teat cups 17 are connected to upper part of bar by flexible suspension 19. Milk claw 18 is connected to pneumatic drive 21 through lower part of bar 9 by flexible tie-rod 20. Pneumatic drive is incorporated within bar 9. When milking module is turned to operating position, lower end of bar 9 mounted in stall abuts against base of feeder 25. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
