FIELD: manufacture, dressing and cleaning of abrasive tools with metal, ceramic or organic binders. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing working surface of tool to pulsed laser or corpuscular radiation (accelerated proton beams, cumulative plasma fluxes), with radiation being focused to obtain spot having size substantially exceeding abrasive grain size. Pulse time t(c) and average radiation intensity value q (Wt/sq m) are determined by ratio recited in Specifications. The values of t and q selected provide evaporation of binder without destructing diamond (abrasive) grains, which are heated under the action of short pulses to temperature not exceeding diamond graphitization temperature. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of abrasive tools.
