SUBSTANCE: cutter for breaking coal and coal-rock mass has a head reinforced with hard-alloy strip with main cutting edge of convex curvature from, front face of flat-convex form, side edges in the form of convex broken line. Frontal face of breaking portion of hard-alloy strip is made in the form of triple obtuse-angled wedge with crossing of ribs at one point lying on main longitudinal rib at the level of points at which lines of side edges are bending.
