METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENSURING SPARK-SAFETY Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2071570 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on determining the parameters of spark-safety circuits, comparing these parameters with primary standard value and at the moment of this comparing to generate a power source output control signal. At no commutation of spark-safety circuits, accumulation of power source voltage which feeds given circuits is effected from output of feed transformer primary winding by means of half-wave rectification of phase voltage during first one-half period. Total load current voltage proportional to number of spark-safety circuits commutated at given moment is determined by value of voltage dropping at measuring resistor connected through stabilitron tube to one of comparing circuit inputs, and its second input is fed with linear saw- toothed voltage. If value of voltage dropping at this resistor is less than preset value, power source voltage is formed by half-wave rectification of phase voltage during half-wave period. Power source output voltage accumulated during first half-wave period is enhanced with phase voltage pulses from output of transformer additional winding in series connected with primary winding during second half-wave period. Duration of these pulses is formed depending on value of momentary magnitude of total load current in commutating spark-safety circuits from moment of comparing controlled parameter with primary standard value up to moment of transition of input voltage at second half-wave period through zero value point. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
