FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding and surfacing; repair of crankshafts. SUBSTANCE: installation has base 1, chucks 5, 6 for rotating the workpiece to be surfaced, guides 3 on which carriage 2 is installed for travel under action of lead screw 7. Welding head is installed on carriage. Welding head has support member and levers with roller electrodes 30, 41 hinge mounted on support member. It has also power cylinders 24 for pressing the levers. Support member is formed by bottom 9 and walls 10 and 11. Walls are coupled by rods on which slider 14 with power cylinder 44 to move slider is installed. Brackets 19 and 31 with hinge joints 20 and 32 for fixing levers in their middle portion are installed on upper and lower surfaces of slider. Lever 33 is passed through aperture in wall 10. Slider power cylinder is located in aperture 43 of wall 11. slider can be made in the form of box. Rollers with concave generatrix or rigidly secured bushings with hole can be used to shift sliders along guide rods. EFFECT: improved quality of surfacing. 5 cl, 4 dwg
