FIELD: medicine, physiology, medical and biological research. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises optically transparent discharge chamber 1 made of dielectric material, and optically transparent electrode 2 made of current-conductive material having dielectric constant close to that of discharge chamber 1. Electrode 2 is connected to metal ring 3, to which high pulsed voltage is applied from generator 4. All these structural components of apparatus are enclosed by opaque casing 5 having lid 6 and openings 7. Casing accommodates video chamber 8 connected to unit 9 for monitoring glow of biological object 10. EFFECT: considerably increased diagnostic value of research, since glow distribution of biological object is evaluated both in terms of its magnitude and density.
