FIELD: gas production industry; preparation of gas for long transportation. SUBSTANCE: after hot gas regeneration, pressure in adsorber is gradually reduced to atmospheric after which deep evacuation is performed; adsorber is kept under vacuum and then it is blown with dry gas without discontinuation of evacuation; then pressure is raised to drying pressure and silica gel is cooled by unheated dry gas. Time required for reducing the adsorbent pressure to atmospheric range from 30 to 40 minutes, time of keeping the adsorbent under vacuum ranges from 30 to 35 minutes. Blowing-off with dry gas is effected simultaneously with evacuation at pressure of 0.4 to 0.2 kgf/sq.cm for 50 to 60 minutes to exceed volume of adsorbent by 3 to 4 times. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
