METHOD OF CURATIVE DIRT EXTRACT PREPARING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: native dirt (moisture content is 50-60%) is triturated up to sour cream-like state. Paste-like dirt is extracted twice with 96% ethanol at 30-50 C at ratio solvent : raw = 6-10 volumes per 1 kg. Extraction is carried out for 20-25 min at stirring. The spirituous-dirt mass is clarified for 3-4 h and spirituous miscella is poured off. Vaseline oil is added to miscella in evaporator at amount providing extract preparing of the required concentration. Alcohol is distilled off under vacuum (0.6-0.7 atm) at 50 C, not above, at periodic stirring. Extract is settled and dissolved in Vaseline oil up to the required concentration. Yield of medicinal agent is increased by 3-fold. EFFECT: increased yield, decreased energy consumption, improved ecology.
