FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has half-bridge inverter which has independent excitation and which power transformer has N secondary windings, each of which is connected to device output terminals through serial circuit of rectifier and inductance-capacitance filter. Half-bridge inverter is controlled by means of pulse-width modulator. Current detector which is located in load circuit provides information about overload in output channels. Amplitude detector which is connected to middle tap of control transformer provides information about total consumed power. Additional elements which are introduced to power supply circuit uses signals about current overload for generation of protection signals which provide change (decrease) of duration and rate of control pulses which are output by pulse-width modulator. Device may be used for protection of second power supply which has low-voltage fans which lack commutators and remove heat from power elements of direct voltage transformer and from devices which are supplied by secondary power supply. EFFECT: increased reliability of protection against current overload. 5 dwg
