FIELD: gear-cutting machines. SUBSTANCE: machine has additional tool carriage provided with gear cutting and grinding heads enabling simultaneous machining both concave and convex surfaces of arcuate teeth. Inclined guides fitted in slots of the tool carriages allow feed of the heads in direction perpendicular to the plane of action. Use of controllable tooth generating mechanism based on rack-and-gear drive and link gear with two floating stones and tie moving along bed guides in conjunction with rigid association of rotary-and-oscillating motion of table and tangential feed of carriages makes it possible to use precision indexing table and to divide generating and indexing functions thus increasing teeth working accuracy. Due to differential drive of tool carriage lateral saddle ensuring positioning and reciprocation movement of tools all the profiling points of tools pass the plane of action thus providing for precise geometry of involute profile and curvature of arcuate teeth being cut.
