FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: stratum treating liquid before its using is activated by additional components. To prevent swelling and peptization of clay particles by creation of links between them, added into solution are reagents, for example K+ and Al+3. Treatment can be effected simultaneously with slot release of well, using stratum treating liquid instead of working liquid. Additional reduction of mechanical stresses is obtained by creation of second pair of slots located symmetrically relative to well axis. Second pair of slots is oriented perpendicularly to first pair of slots. Prior to stratum treatment, experimentally selected are additional components and pH value. In process of treatment, its effectiveness and sufficiency are being checked. EFFECT: high efficiency of treating clay strata. 5 cl, 1 tbl
