FIELD: valving. SUBSTANCE: thermostatic steam trap has housing 1 with inlet and outlet passageways 2,3, base 5, rod 6 mounted inside housing 1 and provided with valving member 9 received in the outlet passageway of base 5, stack of thermobimetallic plates 7 mounted on rod 6, and controllable stop 8. The stack is made up at least as two pairs of plates 7. One of the plates is circular and the other is of any other shape. The sizes of the circular plates are less than these of noncircular ones.
