FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for withdrawing liquid condensed phase – condensate from apparatuses and pipelines and preventing the exit of gas phase, and can be used in various branches of engineering. Steam trap comprises cylindrical body with a lid, inlet and exhaust branch pipe, open float housed in the body, axis of which is unidirectional with axis of the cylindrical body, a shut-off valve installed in the outlet, a valve with spherical shape connected to the stem, which is pivotally connected to a lever that is pivotally mounted on fixed support and with its end adjacent to the float. Cylindrical body has a horizontally oriented axis, open float is rigidly connected to the lever and is one with it, the float is closed at the ends and has one or more holes on the side wall, end of inlet pipe, equipped with a baffle is entered in side wall opening of the float, fixed support lever is mounted on valve body.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify design, improve efficiency and reliability of steam trap.
