FIELD: radio engineering, in particular, microwave waveguide systems, can find application in radar, communication systems and metrology. SUBSTANCE: microwave mixer uses mixing chamber 1 in the form of metal cavity resonator 2 in the form of a straight elliptical cylinder, whose side surface 3 is formed by a set of sections of rectangular waveguides 4 installed with a touch of their narrow walls loaded into short-circuited waveguide sections 8 made on the sections of uniform rectangular waveguides, and loads 9 are installed in them. Cartridge-type semiconductor microwave diode 14 is connected to first common focus 13, transmission lines 18,19 of the signal source and local oscillator source are connected to second focuses 15,16, respectively. Uncoupling elements 20 are installed between diode 14 and transmission line 18 and between transmission lines 18 and 19. EFFECT: improved design. 4 cl, 6 dwg
