TREE SHAKER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; forestry; nutting. SUBSTANCE: energy of miniexplosion of pyrotechnic cartridge arranged in device secured on cedar trunk is used for shaking the tree. Device has body-cartridge chamber, cup-seal, tensioner using near-standing tree as support, tension regulator, remote controlled impact-trigger mechanism and recoil belt limiter. Efficiency of shaking is obtained owing to transmission of more powerful impulse to tree trunk as compared with impacts of heavy wooden mallet at hand nutting. Safety is provided owing to remote control of impact-trigger mechanism. EFFECT: reduced labor input, increased efficiency. 4 dwg
