FIELD: stabilizer of polymeric materials. SUBSTANCE: reagent 1: 2-nitro-2-hydroxy-5- methylphenylazobenzene. Reaction conditions: electrochemical reduction in aqueous alcoholic medium in the presence of alkaline metal hydroxide on metallic electrodes in diaphragm-free electrolyzer at 30-90 C in electrolyte containing not more than 2 moles/cubic m of silver ions. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process.
