FIELD: hydraulics. SUBSTANCE: multi-stage centrifugal pump has housing squeezed by ties between the input and output covers. A driving shaft passes through the housing. The housing consists of several sections. Each section is provided with wheel and open diffuser that is received in a cylindrical casing. The sections are interconnected through intermediate disks. The casings and disks are made of a thin-walled sheet which can be stamped. Each casing is a cap whose walls are conjugated with the bottom by a radius. The periphery of the intermediate disk is provided with a ring projection that faces the casing of the adjacent section and forms a ring space together with the rounded portion of this casing and inner cylindrical surface of its casing. The cross- section of the space is a triangle whose sides are inclined to the axis of the pump. The space receives a sealing ring of circular cross-section. The diameter of the opening made in the intermediate disk is 1.02-1.05 of the outer diameter of the inlet portion of the working wheel. The disk separates the space between the working wheel and the casing of the adjacent section into two portions the smaller of which is arranged from the side of the working wheel.
