FIELD: medicine; vehicles for use indoors by disabled persons. SUBSTANCE: invalid chair for use indoors has central unit, base with seat and backrest telescopically coupled with central unit and axle of side driving wheels secured on central unit with displacement relative to vertical axis and below the seat. Wheels of invalid chair have rims for rotation by hands. Chair has also brake and control handle, footrest and support wheels. Front support wheel is hinge-mounted, and rear support wheel is either hinge mounted or fixed. Support wheels are connected with main unit by means of rocker and are arranged at both sides of seat along longitudinal axis of invalid chair. Invalid chair is provided with hinged arm rests secured on seat. Beds for fingers for fingers are provided on rims of driving wheels. Brake has two brake mechanisms secured at both sides of seat. Rocker is made straight and is arranged along longitudinal axis of invalid chair in plane of vertical axis of main unit. Both support wheels are hinge-connected with rocker. Diameter of front support wheel is smaller than that of rear wheel. Main unit in made integral with means for mounting the axle of driving wheels and rocker. Rocker is made of aluminium alloy or titanium. Main unit, side wheel axle, telescopic coupler of seat and main unit and attachment members are made of titanium alloy or steel with anticorrosive coating, or of stainless steel. Seat, backrest, arm rests and rollers are made of polymeric composite materials. EFFECT: improved comfort, possibility of turning through 360 degrees on place, reduced weight of construction, simplified design. 4 cl, 6 dwg
