FIELD: equipment of rectification columns. SUBSTANCE: sheet-steel cylinder of rectification column has vertical tubular body whose cavity accommodates packing with trays. Packing is formed of holders square in cross-section in plane perpendicular to body vertical axis and located in levels and turned relative to one another through 90 deg in horizontal planes. Trays are mounted in each holder vertically and made in form of corrugated plates of same length and equalling the length of holder section side and same height equalling the height of holder. Corrugated plates are engageable with one another by their corrugations, which in adjacent plates are inclined in mutually opposite directions. Body is square in internal cross-section in plane perpendicular to body vertical axis corresponding in size to transverse section of holders for installation of them into body space. Angle of inclination of plate corrugations is selected within 30-60 deg relative to the body vertical axis of body enveloped by shell of heat insulating material. Secured to body ends and resting on shell are upper and lower circular straps with means for fixing the extreme holders in the body. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 5 dwg
