PHALLOENDOPROSTHESIS AND METHOD FOR FORMING ARTIFICIAL PENIS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, urology, phalloplasty for treatment of traumatically amputated penis. SUBSTANCE: proposed phalloendoprosthesis comprises two plate-shaped splints having C-like cross section and provided with openings for fixation and with shank. Inventive novelty of prosthesis resides in that shank is made in the form of two saw-like rods. Proposed method for forming artificial rigid penis comprises the following steps: forming Filatov stalk, moving it towards remnants of natural penis, incorporating it into natural penis remnants, followed by suturing wound layer by layer. Inventive novelty of proposed method resides in making longitudinal dissection of tissues posteriorly of artificial penis at its base so as to extend it to skin of natural penis up to its protein membrane. Artificial penis is then tunnelled, apices of cavernous bodies of natural penis are dissected, its legs are tunnelled, phalloendoprosthesis is put in place, plate tops are joined together and fixed, followed by inserting plate-shaped parts of prostheses into tunnel of artificial penis. Finally, rod-like protrusions of prostheses are inserted one by one into tunnels in remnants of cavernous bodies of natural penis. EFFECT: effective treatment of impotence. 2 cl, 11 dwg
