FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: penile prosthesis is made, e.g. of silicone rubber and comprises proximal, intermediate and distal portions. The intermediate portion is dish-shaped and has a cross section being less than distal and proximal portions. An end face of the distal portion is softer than its main portion. The distal portion comprises a groove in the form of a cylindrical spiral and a groove in the form of an opposite cylindrical spiral. The grooves represent a semi-circle with rounded corners and have equal pitches. A groove depth makes 1.0-1.5mm.
EFFECT: reducing tissue injuries and ease of use.
