FIELD: shipbuilding; design of special-purpose ships for recovery and transportation of ice of arctic and Antarctic icebergs. SUBSTANCE: ship is provided with main module with several sections fitted with devices for making them fast to icebergs. Each device is made in form of extensible rod with holding head and shock absorber articulated on strut and connected with drive for change of angle of rod relative to strut and extension-retraction drive; holding head has at least two tabs with cutting outer edge which are connected with mechanism for change of their angle relative to axis of rod; it is mounted for rotation about this axis and is connected with rotation drive.
