FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wave-driven power plant can be used as energy source for navigation buoys and on yachts to charge storage batteries. Body of plant has support in the form of frame with vertical guides. Mechanical converter includes inert body in the form of weight contacting vertical guides and having elastic suspension attached to frame and AC generator. Elastic suspension is fitted with blocks positioned on upper part of frame and flexible tie-rod embracing them which connects inert body with elastic member of suspension. Elastic member is anchored on base of frame and mounted in parallel to guide on side opposite to their contact with body. Shaft of generator is kinematically connected to shaft of one of blocks. Storage battery is connected to generator through diode rectifier and transformer with variable transformation ratio. Regulator is connected to output of generator and storage battery. Loading unit and device changing transformation ratio are connected to regulator. EFFECT: expanded application field, improved functional reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
