FIELD: gynecology, obstetrics. SUBSTANCE: proposed obstetric extractor comprises vacuum-providing apparatus filled with working fluid adapted, as apparatus is switched over, to provide positive and negative pressure inside capillary jacket which is made of thin, strong and elastic material and has cylindrical shape. Cloth of capillary jacket is formed by circularly and longitudinally extending capillaries, intersection of which forms squares having openings for free passage of air. As positive-pressure fluid is admitted into capillaries, capillary jacket is straightened out to acquire cylindrical shape, whereas as negative-pressure fluid is admitted, capillary jacket dimensions are reduced. Capillary jacket can be stored in magazine constituting at same time casing and guideway of obstetric extractor. Guideway is defined by inner sleeve having flange, viewing port and mirror intended to into check discharge of capillary jacket from magazine and to direct it into obstetric canal, and by outer sleeve provided with flange for fixation on inner sleeve and having such shape as is convenient for inserting it into obstetric canal. EFFECT: proposed extractor is usable in both normal and pathologic childbirth for extracting fetus through obstetric canal. 4 cl, 4 dwg
