FIELD: plastic working of metals, in particular, finishing working of rotating surfaces, for instance, rolling outer races of ball bearings. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mechanism for carrying mandrels with working tool, pressure member for part to be worked, charging hopper, tool wear compensating unit and hydraulic support for parts. Mandrel carrying mechanism is formed as slide with plank mounted for reciprocating along spindle axis and rotative motion perpendicular to spindle axis. Power cylinders are used as drives. Mandrels with tool are mounted on plank and pivotally connected with it. Mandrels are formed as cylindrical pivot joints with cavities in lower part. Apparatus is provided with plank pivotal motion limiting members. Slide and plank are connected by return spring. Pressure member is formed as thrust bearing axially aligned with spindle.
